Emotion Freedom Therapy (EFT)
Emotional Freedom Therapy is sometimes referred to as the tapping technique, Using the EFT technique alongside counselling, NLP and Hypnotherapy is a wonderful combination for helping people who suffer from memories of childhood sexual abuse, bullying and post traumatic stress disorder or PTSD. I also use EFT successfully in bereavement counselling to help bring about a feeling of acceptance.
Meridian Therapy
This is a remarkable therapy which was developed in America by Gary Craig. It works by releasing blocks on the meridian energy pathways. The method of EFT is to gently tap on the beginning of each *meridian, until a release is experienced. The result of this will be the client will move into a changed state of consciousness, this signals the therapist that the release is taking place. The release involves letting go of the emotional aspect of a physical or emotional problem.
Following the release of the 'block' the client will feel much 'lighter', as if something has been 'let go of'. These blocks are held somewhere on a meridian pathway. If pain was the problem being experienced, the pain will be dramatically reduced and sometimes fully eliminated. Confidence can be enhanced and motivation and focus developed to improve performance.
Instant relief can be achieved for most ailments. I sometimes use EFT to enhance the positive healing experience, alongside Reiki and Reflexology.

These are the pathways that carry life force energy around the body. The vital force is fed to all of the major organs via this system. The energy is taken into the body initially via the Chakra centres (see the Reiki page)
